Light operation:
Short press: switches the light completely on or off.
Long press: Gradually dims the light to minimum brightness (the dimming stops when you release). If the light is already dimmed, it will brighten again.
15-minute timer: Press twice to set the timer. After 15 minutes, the light turns off automatically.
